We recently collaborated with Decorative Events & Exhibitions and the newly renovated Cruise Bar. It was a showcase of Cruise for corporate events, an update on latest trends for styling and to show guests what is possible for corporate events over the Vivid Festival. The venue offers probably one of the best vantage points for Vivid (which starts 27th May) and with Decorative Events & Exhibitions to style the space, it was certainly an impressive event!
The team from Decorative Events & Exhibitions styled the event all things Vivid, using bright colours and diagonal lines. Many of the items were custom made for the event, and flowers provided from their in house florist.
The food was definitely another highlight of the night, Cruise Bar’s Head Chef Patrick Haney and his team did an amazing job, offering an array of options and plenty of food. A food station was set up with chefs cooking live in front of guests on the outdoor terrace area.
Live music from James Black & Mikaela Dean added to the evening ambience
If you have any events you need a venue for over the Vivid Festival, contact The Venue Concierge and we will pull together a package for you for Cruise Bar. We can also assist with any other events you have that this venue may work for. Call us! x

Dreamtime is Tourism Australia’s signature business events showcase. Over 100 international buyers and media were hosted in Adelaide for two days to participate in business meetings and activities before travelling further afield to experience what the rest of Australia has to offer.
Belle Laide Events produced two events for Tourism Australia. For the business session a truly unique meeting space was designed by the Belle Laide team. Traditional floor plans were abandoned in favour of creating a landscape within the room, which delegates could navigate between their appointments. A visual journey was created using spatial design, lighting states, evocative graphics and custom created soundscapes which worked together to redefine the entire ‘meeting’ experience.
Guests were welcomed into the darkened halls of the Adelaide Convention Centre to the pre-dawn sounds of the Australian bush. In a low-lit setting the official opening got underway. A powerful performance piece unravelled under darkness, as the sun began to rise from behind the stage and the lighting state within the great halls lifted to beautiful sunrise hues, revealing the entire Dreamtime Business session landscape.
Delegates experienced an emotive Welcome to Country carried out by a local Aboriginal Elder and Indigenous performers, creating a very special opening to Dreamtime 2015.
Catering by the Adelaide Convention Centre was given a theatrical twist for both morning and afternoon tea. Lunch showcased local produce and was a highlight of the day for guests.
To conclude their time in Adelaide a Showcase Dinner was held at the National Wine Centre. Focusing on the warmth and hospitality of the Adelaide people the event was centered around the idea of ‘welcome to our home’. Quintessentially South Australian people, produce and stories were the focus of the evening.
Every detail was considered and personal touches were a defining feature of the night. Guests were greeted and opened individual letterboxes with a personalised welcome note and gift. Inside guests enjoyed high quality South Australian produce while seated under an impressive 16m Australian floral installation.
Through a series of custom created video pieces, guests were given the opportunity to meet three different South Australian personalities from the food and wine industry, whose stories and produce were woven into the fabric of the event.
The event was a huge success for Tourism Australia with delegate feedback at an all time high.

This year’s race that stops the nation kicked off with show stopping Spring Racing Marquee events that really put the luxe in luxury. Our Director Sam got to experience the Bird Cage this year first hand, and this was her pick of the day!
Lexus Marquee (The Big Group)
The luxury car brand continues its love affair with opulence and fine attention to extravagant detail. The “Nest” covering the structure used 100 kilometres of recycled wire and took more than 4000 hours to create! Sustainable designer Joost Bakker worked tirelessly on a ceiling installation of 5000 hanging tulip bulbs. Guests were dazzled and delighted from above, while a dramatic roaming wall of paper butterflies carefully designed by Georgie Seccull creates an air of beauty and serenity.
Guests dined on a gastronomic extravaganza compliments of The Big Group including a skewer of steak and chips with Béarnaise sauce, and Dan Hong’s chicken katsu banh mi burger, and wontons in three flavour.
